SURGERY UPDATES:
- Please use the new "AccurX" digital request form for ALL requests, whatever you need from appointment to test results.
- You do not need to ring, visit or send us letters etc - everything can be requested on the Accurx request form (above)
- The NHS App is currently down for tech issues, it is expected to be working week of 19 May 25 - use website Accurx above
- Our staff are here to help any patients unable to access this new service; just call/visit and we will help you.
- On occasions when the daily cap for requests is reached before 5pm, please send new request(s) from 8am the next day - if very urgent, please use the NHS 111 service or local urgent care centres in Harold Wood/Orsett Hospital.
- Please see the message from Dr Bailoor at further down this page.
We welcome feedback/suggestions about our website and we add new/updated content on a regular basis. Please check the "news" section via the "about the surgery" link at the top of this page for latest updates and information.
At the current time of writing (16 May) the NHS App is not working due to their own tech issues uploading Accurx, but we do strongly recommend downloading/using the "NHS app" on your smartphone (if you have one) as featured above. It allows you to view, check, review and request a wide range of information from the Surgery.
For all healthcare issues, please use the AccurX online form (above this panel) for appointments & all other services. It will save calling or visiting the Surgery. (more info see the "News" section).
Finally, we are not an urgent care or walk-in centre. We have limited daily appointments and depending on circumstances/conditions you may be asked to visit one of the two mid Essex urgent care facilities. If you think you have had a stroke or have chest/arm pains etc, you must call 999 and/or go direct to the local Accident & Emergency centre.

A MESSAGE TO ALL PATIENTS FROM DR BAILOOR RE THE CHANGE TO TOTAL TRIAGE ACCESS
If you have internet access via a smartphone, tablet, or computer, you can access the new service via this website and the new Accurx form which replaced the previous eConsult form we used for some years. It is also available on the NHS app.
If you don’t have internet access, don’t worry! You can still call our reception team, who will help you request an appointment via the new system.
How will the new system work?
The new system will be accessed via the Accurx digital request form
To request an appointment with a GP or other clinician, you’ll need to complete an Accurx request form. This form provides details about your health concern, allowing us to:
- Match you with the right clinician first time around.
- Make your consultation more effective, as the clinician will already understand your concern.
- Give you the time and space to explain your issue fully.
Assistance is available - If you’re unable to complete the form online yourself, our reception team will gladly assist. We can:
- Help you use an digital Tablet in the practice.
- Complete the form over the phone on your behalf.
What are the benefits?
- No more queuing outside
You won’t need to line up early at the surgery when you are feeling unwell or in adverse weather conditions to secure an appointment. - Appointments based on clinical need
Appointments will be allocated based on need, not on a first-come, first-served basis. - Flexibility for patients
Instead of waiting for a convenient day off to visit, you can submit your form as soon as an issue arises. We will arrange an appointment—whether same-day, in a week, or up to six weeks later—depending on clinical need.
Appointments may be face-to-face, over the phone, or via video consultation, as appropriate.
FAQs
Who will assess the requests?
All medical requests will be reviewed by a GP or paramedic, who will assign appointments as needed.
What if I need urgent treatment?
For very urgent issues, please call NHS 111 or visit an urgent treatment centre, as our practice is not a walk-in urgent care service and we have finite appointments each day.
What if I am housebound?
If you are housebound, you can request a home visit by completing the form online or by calling our reception team for assistance.
What if i go online and the system is closed (ie before 8am, after 5pm, weekends, public holidays or when the number of daily requests has been capped)
On some occasions we may have reached the daily ceiling for requests where we cant action any more that afternoon or evening - in this case please either send a new request from 8am the next day but if of a very urgent nature please use the NHS 111 service or one of the 2 local urgent care centres in Harold Wood or Orsett Hospital. Thank you and this is the same for closed periods, weekends and public holidays etc.
Do I need to complete a form for regular nurse appointments?
No. Nursing appointments can still be booked directly by calling our reception team.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we transition to this new system. We understand this is a significant change, and we are here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need help our staff and members of the Patient Reference Group will be on hand to support you. We will take this message down one month after the new service inception around 3 June but full info on the service is available via the "News" section under "About the Surgery" at the tab link at top of this main home page.
