ACCESS TO A DOCTOR OR NURSE

From May 2025 patient access should be via Accurx online request forms (via the NHS app or our website) but we ask that those patients without access to Smartphones, tablets, laptops etc to call or visit the Surgery where staff will assist them making their request.  All requests are triaged on the day with the duty GP triaging the clinical requests and the admin staff taking all non-clinical request.  

For Nurse appointments please stay on the line and after the message plays, a member of staff will take your request for a new Nurse appointment.

Phones are open from 0800 until 1830 each working day but we encourage all patients to where possible, use the Accurx online requests which generally get answered the same day or at worst the next day, ahead of the 72 hrs standard response time. 

WEEKLY EXTENDED HOURS APPOINTMENTS

We offer 3 sets of weekly extended hours appointments where after booking, a GP will call you that evening; please state this in your request if you wish for an evening telephone call appointment - the member of staff will take your details and inform you which evening the appointment is booked for.

Please note:

• The surgery closes on 1st Tuesday afternoon of each month from 1pm until 8am Wednesday for NHS ICB Accredited Staff Training and Learning

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

For urgent care please use one of the two Urgent Care Centres based at Harold Wood and Orsett Hospital

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

We are a member practice of ACE (Accountable Care Enterprise) Limited, the GP Hub we share with the 7 other Brentwood PCN practices, and which is based at the Brambles Surgery, Greenwich Avenue, Brentwood, CM15 9DY

The link leaflet below gives full details on the support and out of hours services they offer our patients and how you can access them.  ACE also run the various housebound vaccination programmes and we ask that all housebound patients ensure they check/confirm they are on our housebound list at your next appointment or telephone call with us.

Reminder to all patients:  ACE Hub do not administer general vaccinations, these must be done at our Surgery.
